The Ascent Home Loans system was originally developed around providing the most complete and dynamic end-to-end solution for the individual Loan Officer. Not Another Net-Branch

It is very important to understand that Ascent Home Loans is absolutely not a Net Branch Company. Although there are reputable Net Branch Companies out there, most are simply companies that allow you to rent their license and name.

We know rent may be a strange way of describing the splits and fees you pay to do business as a Net Branch but look at it closely?

In most case your fees and splits don’t entitle you too much past the use of the parent companies name. You basically pay rent to have their name on your door. Some say they provide better pricing because of their established relationships with lenders… but at what cost to you? If you pay splits on your commission then what do you gain from these relationships. You end up marking your rate up to make a living. At that point you’re no longer the industry leader in pricing they promised you would be.

So, what do you get for your splits and fees?

At Ascent we don’t mark up our rates, and we pay our Loan Officers a true 100% Payout. It’s for this reason that our Loan Officers truly are the leaders in the industry when it comes to pricing and income.

The founders of Ascent have all worked as Originators and know how much work goes into building a successful mortgage company. Tied up in the Details

Another reality of owning a Net Branch is it is time consuming. The Manager is required to handle all of the staffing, payroll, expense accounts, compliance, licensing renewal, management, training, and all of the other day to day maintenance of running a Branch. Unfortunately most companies offer little to no assistance in taking care of these details. Branch managers find themselves tied up in the busy work as opposed to spending time in the areas that affect their income.

In addition to eating up your time the details cost money. In order to manage the detail of owning a branch you’ll have to pay for staffing, software, licensing, payroll, and any other expense associated with running your branch. This means a Business Development Manager (BDM) will walk each person in your Branch through the orientation and training on all of our products, pricing, tools, and technologies. The BDM’s responsibility is to make sure everyone is not only comfortable within our system but also functional to begin producing for your Branch. You will no longer have the nightmare of having to orient each LO you bring on with a foreign system…..We take care of it for you.

The BDM will also introduce you and your Branch to their Ascent support staff including our compliance, licensing, processing, and underwriting departments. Our staff operates as your back office support. Ascent will handle all of your payroll, benefits, and 401K administrations. Our accounting department can even take care of paying your invoices through an expense account. This allows you to cover any reoccurring bills with pre-tax income.
